Positive social support and social interaction are some of the most important factors in maintaining physical health and well-being. Come enjoy your colleagues and play cornhole, bucket pong or life-size Yahtzee with us in the parking lot! If you’re not in the mood for competition, no worries. Come hang out, and grab a refreshing beverage and some healthy snacks!

Life was meant for good friends and great adventures. Take a break from your computer or your phone and talk to someone face-to-face. If you live close to a fellow Matrix colleague, meet them for coffee or lunch! Or call up a family member or a friend you haven’t talked to in a while – don’t forget to send us a picture of your social interaction and post it on our Facebook or Twitter! #MatrixWellness


Social Wellness:

Social wellness refers to how we interact with others and the relationships we have. Social wellness involves building healthy, nurturing and supportive relationships as well as fostering a genuine connection with those around you. Maintaining an optimal level of social wellness allows you to develop assertive skills and become comfortable with who you are in social situations. Surrounding yourself with a positive social network increases your self-esteem and enables you to create boundaries that encourage communication, trust and conflict management.
