Telehealth Visits

Our telehealth solutions include a broad range of technologies and services to provide patient care and improve the efficiency of the healthcare delivery system

Matrix Medical Network is a national clinical services provider supporting the needs of at-risk populations. For over 20 years, we’ve focused on overcoming barriers to care. Matrix has engaged millions of individuals to assess and manage their health risks, chronic conditions and overall wellness through a network of more than 3,000 clinicians and fleet of state-of-the-art mobile health clinics.

Matrix added telehealth as a new modality at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic when the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) issued guidance expanding the use of telehealth. Matrix developed a unique telehealth program for accessing and identifying risk factors for Medicare Advantage beneficiaries through virtual Comprehensive Health Assessments. With thousands of virtual visits completed and by leveraging telehealth to the best of its capabilities, we have found a way to implement risk adjustment telehealth that can screen for COVID-19 symptoms while maintaining chronic care management.

What we offer

  • Risk Adjustment Expertise – Matrix has developed an unique telehealth program to complete extensive clinical reviews and diagnosis of chronic conditions through virtual Comprehensive Health Assessments
  • Clinical Expertise – Credentialed clinicians provide targeted support, enabled by telehealth, utilizing health questionnaires to identify at-risk individuals
  • Enhanced Options - Clinicians can perform COVID-19 related symptom screening for members to help to keep them safe in addition to ensuring care coordination or referrals for follow-up care

What we deliver

  • Streamlined technology options - using Industry leading platforms for direct-to-member calls via applications that meet HIPPA compliance
  • Screening – Clinicians can direct members or their caretakers to measure height, weight, pulse, blood pressure, and/or oxygen saturation (O2 sat). They can also use the device’s camera to look at rashes, discolorations, or other visible issues.
  • Coding and Reporting - Our proprietary platform is used to capture, analyze and submit diagnosis

Matrix has successfully completed tens of thousands of telehealth comprehensive health assessments

Telehealth has now become an essential part of our overall member outreach strategies aimed to maximize member engagement. While the COVID-19 pandemic was the catalyst for enhanced telehealth options, we anticipate telehealth will remain a parallel solution to in-person care as part of the risk adjustment infrastructure.

Health plans implement telehealth to:

  • Mitigate risk by assessing and identifying risk factors
  • Provide care continuity and monitoring for members that are still at-risk from their chronic condition(s) and are limiting outside contact
  • Engage members that are refusing the option for in-person care
